Preliminary Dropzone Questionnaire

The following is a list of questions that will help us determine initial and ongoing costs and feasibility for a successful implementation of RealDropzone™ within your organization.  If you do not feel comfortable disclosing particular business practices at this stage of our relationship, you may leave those questions blank, however all information provided to RealSkydiving will be treated confidentially.  The best way to provide us with answers to these questions is to cut and paste this document into a new email to onlinesupport@realskydiving.com.  Please be sure to create an account on www.RealDropzone.com if you want to receive product updates by email.

Operational Details:

Are all office tasks performed at the same physical location?

Does manifesting take place at the same physical location as departures?

Do skydivers land at the same physical location as departures?

Do you sell merchandise (gear, etc.) or does a different on-site company do this?

Are your video services offered by a different company?  If so, are fees collected at the same time or at different times?

Aircraft:

What type and quantity of aircraft do you operate?

Jump Numbers:

Approximately how many total jumps are made annually at your Dropzone?

Approximately how many of these jumps are Tandem?

Approximately how many of these jumps are Students?

Approximately how many of these jumps are Experienced Jumps?

Staff Numbers:

How many manifest / office employees do you have on staff on an average day?

How many manifest / office employees do you have on staff on your busiest day?

Special Events:

How many boogies or other large events do you host in a year?  What can you tell us about some of your largest?

Product and service pricing:

What kind of ‘special’ pricing do you offer, such as second jump specials, jump packages, group rates, employee rates, etc…  Please elaborate the conditions of these prices.

How do gift certificates operate at your dropzone, do you sell flat valued tickets or do you guarantee a price for a period of time?

What existing software products / hosted services do you use for manifesting, online reservations, customer relationship management, online content management, online marketing, accounting, point-of-sale, etc.

Marketing:

What is your approximate annual budget for online marketing?

What percentage of your total marketing budget has gone towards online-marketing efforts, and how has this figure changed over the last 3 years?

What forms of online marketing do you use?

In what ways, if any, do you use email to communicate to your customers?

Do you currently work with ticket broker organizations who collect fees for your products up front and then reimburse you for redeemed products?

What kind of a sales commission to you offer to different organizations able to sell your products (directly with you, or indirectly through a broker)

Existing On-Site Computer Network Infrastructure:

What existing internet connections do you have at your location?

What broadband internet connection options are available at your location?

What level of technical experience do you have available on staff?

Do you work with a local computer firm for on-site computer and networking services?

Do you offer wireless internet to your customers?

What current equipment do you have?  Please list servers, operating systems, workstations, and a description of any network that you have in place.

What existing software products / hosted services do you use for manifesting, online reservations, customer relationship management, online content management, online marketing, accounting, point-of-sale, etc.?

Do you currently have any television or computer monitors to display load information?  If not – is this something that you’re interested in?

Existing Online offerings:

Do you currently have a website?

Is your website being hosted on-site or off-site?

If off-site, who is your hosting provider?

What platform is your website currently hosted with:  (Static HTML, ASP.NET, Classic ASP, PHP, CGI, etc.)

How do you update the content on your website?  Do you already use an online content management system that allows you to make updates online, or do you use a third party tool such those available from Adobe, or Microsoft?

How often do you update the content on your website?

Does your website accept credit cards online?

Have you already gone through PCI Compliance requirements in order to accept credit cards online? 
(Note, these are new regulatory requirements being phased in – if you set up your online payment application years ago, you may not have had to go through this process to establish your card-not-present merchant account and online payment gateway account.)

Do you maintain a valid SSL Security Certificate for secure access to your website?

Do you have more than one website that you host (not including alternate domains that simply redirect or display identical content):

How satisfied are you with your existing website architecture?
